Mech pump can't move enough fuel for 2.5 sticks to run properly.

Ahh my old mech pump held 75 psi at idle. On a hard pull with stock stix my pressure got below 35. I always lifted at that point so I don't know how low it would go. There just is not enough volume. The pump outlet goes to those tiny little lines wich can't help deliver adequate volume either.
The stock system just is not up to the task other than a stock truck imo

Ok, update. But first thanks for your suggestions. After completely changing out turbo to a new D66 turbo, all up and running correctly. I have boost and power. With this turbo there is no whinny squeal coming from intake.

Glad it is up and running, but to be honest, I still think you will need more air with the Stage IIs. A D66 is pretty much just a glorified stock turbo. I have Stage IIs and an S366 in my truck, and I still think I need a little bigger turbo.

Glad you got her running OK.

I know it's water under the bridge for you and you're moving on with your new turbo, but...I'm sure I'm not the only one who is interested in a post mortem or what went wrong with your original turbo. Any pics or do you have to send it back to BD as-is without disassembling it?

I have not taken BD turbo apart to see problem. I am just sending it back to them. I have a couple videos of the movement I can get from the shaft. I will post when figure out how to do that.
A question .... with the new turbo ( so far is great!) It spools up really fast and exhaust is pretty clean even with hydro chip on max setting.
What is max boost a stock motor will hold. I went to 0-35 pounds of boost in blink of an eye then got out it, did not want to blow any thing up.

Anything over 40psi you will need head studs, also stiffer valve springs, and push rods.

I second this. I've got a 38r and think some more air would serve her well
