i use the NAPA # 3417 filter.
X2 on the wiz filter. They also make one wix 33805 that has the sensor port for water in fuel. Both of these have the built in drain. They are not like the old 6.9 filters.

Thanks for the part numbers Tom, beat me to it.

For those that don't know, Wix makes NAPA filters and are for all intents and purposes the same.
Check out the part numbers...same but WIX adds a 5th digit at the front. They are all like that.

Well quit meaning to and get after it!

I for one would be quite thankful for the knowledge.

Wiz also makes micro guard. They are just wixs cheaper line. I've also bought microguard filters for my 6.9 that come in white and unbranded....

And just to be clear, it is only the Napa Gold line that is made by Wix.

Didn't mean to leave y'all hangin for as long as I did. I did pivot bushings, services/replaced bearings, and also working on the subby.

So, I'm sure I'm getting air in my fuel lines, not sure where yet because it's maintaining neutral pressure but will suck air under negative pressure so I'm thinking kink the line near the tank and supply positive behind the lift pump to locate the leak.

I think I also find the oil leak. It's either the return or pressure line to the turbo. Lots of oil
It's the one that goes into the top of the block behind the valley. Looks like about where the top of the rear main would be. I'm thinking easy fix.
Is this common? I tried to get pictures of it but phone needs to lose weight.

The picture added is how much fuel pumped in ten seconds of cranking. It did try to start during this test.
The mark is where 2/3 of one cup would be so that should equal 1/3 of one pint.

I did change the filter to a solid one, no leaks as of yet. But I'm still unsure of what that little hose is. Looks like it's a vacuum line but I'm unsure. It looks wet in the picture only because I bled the line to see if it was still frothy or if there was positive air pressure in the filter. There was.

Thank y'all!!!

I forgot to mention. I tried to get a video of it dying after it warmed up a bit. It did once and then when I went to do the video I couldn't get it to.
I also filled the filter with diesel Klean. Let it set for 2-4 days. I'm losing count.

the push on connector is the water in fuel wire. mine has been disconnected since 1990.
the line is the drain tube so when you drain the water separator the drained liquid went down under the engine instead of all over it. that has also been disconnected since 1990 on mine, i have never drained the filter.
