The truck was bought new by my father in 1950 for use with his glass business. It was used lightly until 1974, and then retired to very occasional use. I inherited it from my dad in 1986. It has 17,373 original miles, and has spent most of its life parked in garages and barns.
The truck is powered by its original flathead V-8, with the heavy-duty 4-speed transmission and suspension. The truck is original as sold by the dealer—seat, trim, etc. Beside regular maintenance, it has had an original-color repainting and bed replacement in the early ‘70s. The body and frame are rock-solid.
The truck could be used as-is (it starts and runs beautifully), or easily restored to show level.
Asking $15,000 (or best reasonable offer)
* Located in Central NJ - Shipping at buyers expense
Condition: Very good for an all-original 66-year-old truck. Easy fixes include new wood in the bed, paint (there is a small area of fill where a wheel-well was damaged), one replacement quarter-panel glass, and rubber tubes and gaskets.

I really like the condition that this truck is in.
At least it is all original, has no rust; and is in good enough condition to not be considered a so-called "rat rod:.
I just absolutely hate rat rods. I prefer a classic vehicle to be rust free, and to be in original mint condition or in restored condition.
For those of you who watch automobile-related television shows on cable television, my requirement for a classic vehicle is just like that of Wayne Carini on the television program 'Chasing Classic Cars'; where he too will only accept vehicles that are either in original mint condition, or are beautifully restored.
Also, I consider Brits Mike Brewer and Edd China of the British television program "Wheeler Dealers" on the Velocity cable channel to be kindred spirits of mine. They have dignity and respect towards vehicles from the 1970's and 1980's that I love.
All of those whack job, low life guys who adore rat rods and rusted out, unrestored vehicles should get a life; and lack the intelligence of people like myself, Wayne Carini, Mike Brewer; and Edd China each have.
