Great news about the real traction control on the DRW trucks. That makes the lack of a locker not that important to me. One more "+" in the F450 column as I struggle to decide SRW or 450.

Traction control works great out in the street to keep the wheels from spinning and sending you sideways. Get in deep snow or mud where you need the bite from spinning the wheels and it sucks. First think I do before attacking the plow build up at the end of the driveway (with the Lincoln, not the New Holland) is shut off the traction control. As soon as the wheels start spinning it shuts down leaving you stranded in the deepest part, impossible to even start to move with the advantrac on. I am looking forward to the locker on the new 350 although 4wd is right at my fingertips as well. It will be fun learning.

Am I the only one that looks at that pic of the short bed above and sees an F150?

I thought the same thing. That does NOT look like a 6.75' bed. Some strange photographic angle or something.

I bet you're right (at least I hope so) since it's the first pic that has made me think 150.

So glad I went 176" for the 176th time. lol

Looks like it was taken with a camera with a small lens. Phone, GoPro or something. The front of the truck tilts backwards, the rear tilts forward. This is a phenomena called "barrel distortion." There is also a "spherical aberration" in which the lens reduces everything around the edges. Small lens cameras are great for their mobility and compact size but the resulting images are sometimes not what the photographer was looking for.

Geezer Rasalas. spherical aberration and barrel distortion... I was OK with it looks wierd.

Now I see it. Look just above the truck in the trees. That's the center of the picture. Everything else is distorted, kind of rotates around that point. Yup.

It's a funny thing... the more I convince myself that I should get a 176", the shorter the 160" looks. As I consider the drw, I catch myself thinking that the f450 isn't really THAT big...

I'd go for an 8 footer in a heart beat if I didn't have to deal with so many parking lots.

I like a supercab and 8' box due to the slide in camper. New one will be 164" which is plenty big for a lot of camp grounds we use. No kids for many years now. I still fill the back seat with junk so a CC would mean more junk. Even with my current SC I can manage to take two spots front to back. Makes every spot a pull through and always enough room to get the groceries in the back. I have seen a couple of crumpled license plates when people try to fit in behind and the trailer hitch stops them short.

I usually try to park with spaces on all sides to stop the door dings, but 10 spaces away on both sides and some azz comes in and parks right next to me. I am not that warm and fuzzy.
