This is my first post here, I've been lurking for some time. I ordered an XLT F350 DRW 6.7 in May and it showed up today. The dealer told me it was delivered via truck straight from the KY plant. I'm in North Alabama and was told the normal procedure is rail transportation to Birmingham then truck delivery to final destination. The dealer said he was surprised when it showed up today and was not expecting it.

The build date was in the first week of August supposedly. My order was a priority 20 I believe, whatever that means. It's also a high volume dealer.

Just thought everyone that is waiting would find this interesting.

I'm going to take an educated guess and say drw trucks can not be rail tranported due to their width.

Not very good pics but all I have right now. Once I get the truck I'll take some better ones.

 

I'm not sure I like the idea of having one of the first ones or not but we'll see how it works out.
