Still hot here.

What I mean is that when we were old enough to romp, the war was over and good times prevailed. The late 40's and 50's were a great time to grow up in. I enjoy visiting with people my age about the "good ole days".

I moved to California in 1946, probably before you were born. And no,,, September is not the hottest month in California. Normally July and August. I lived in San Bernardino "southern Ca." until 1972, then up to Northern California. Both places July and August are the warmest on average. June and September can get warm.

+1 Although from an automobile stand point right now is a very hot month. All the back to school traffic is adding to the already traffic-infested roadways here in the bay area. Now the *real* northern California, that's where it gets durn hot. Death Valley and Red Bluff are often on just a few degrees apart. LOL I once worked on a roof near Chico for a Summer job and got a tan through my t-shirt!

101 today, but a cold snap is coming and should be in the 90's by weeks end.

I live above the REAL Northern California in Redding. Redding is 25 miles north of Red Bluff and normally a couple of degrees hotter. Chico is just plain cold compared to Redding. We have seen 118 degrees here.
