I bought the Sync 3 in my 2016.. will the hardware be identical to the 2017 edition? And that the upgrade is simply software?

Also, I was told I'd have to pay Ford to install the upgrade and allow me to use Google Navigation. Does anybody know about that?

I chose not to get navigation in my truck after hearing bad reviews on the Ford's system.

 

no issues with my 2016 Navigation or Sync. It was crappy in my 2011 F150 and now improved 300% ! Don't trust everything you read.
