I have a 95 with 192k on it, i just bought it and other than the cosmetic issues from being a work truck I can see it has been taken very well care of. The vinyl interior is flawless and all replacement parts are ford products. It has a low tick and it does not get louder as you accelerate it's just a tick. It sounds like a lifter but ford ran tests for the guy I bought it from and said it's fine. Any ideas? Also any ideas to enhance the truck will be greatly appreciated.

 

It might not be a lifter, it could be the exhaust manifold gasket has a slight leak and that's what your hearing. Though mine was ticking from lifters at first also, then while tracking it down found it was the right side exhaust manifold. I don't have any suggestions for enhancements, I've left mine stock.
