Level / Lift Question

Hey all, I'm sorry but I have a level / lift question.
So I don't want anything tall. 6 inches is way too much. Actually, I think 4 may be way too much.
Is there a good way to level it at 3 inches?
I'm in the middle of doing a million expensive things, but I want to raise / level, correctly without putting a $1500 lift kit on it.

So question, is there a company that makes a good quality 3" kit that isn't crazy expensive?
Also, if I put 33s on it, will they look too small? Will 35s look too big?

You're going to want to tell your year/make/model etc
And post it in a different section. This is the V10 section.

Truck is an '01 F250.
My apologies, last week it was ok to post suspension questions in this thread since it's a V10 and it more or less a forum for V10 owners and about anything goes, as long as you are in the V10 club.

It's all good, and I do vaguely remember that thread.i was trying to help, not harsh in any way.

Weekends are slow on the forum anyway.

Oh buddy it's all good. I just look at this as our own little clique.
I don't want to ask the question i did with a bunch of power stroke guys because the engines react so differently to things, especially lift kits.

If you are just looking to level it with 3" more on the front (does it currently sit 3"+ higher in the rear?) and are happy with the current front spring rate and ride then here is a very good quality hanger/shackle kit from PMF.
HD Shackle and Hanger Lifts
But I think that you would need to also use an adjustable track bar with that lift, something like this.
Zone Offroad Front AdjustableTrack Bar F5251

And yes, 33" will look small with +3" of lift, 35"s will look better.

Thanks Tom, The truck is exactly 3" different from front to back.
Would I be better off to just go with a 2.5" level then? What is a good brand of that?
I was wanting to replace the shocks also.

There are lots of vendors for the various sized lifts out there, but try to search for something like what I posted above. That kit will move the entire spring down on both ends, some use only longer shackles that just drop the rear of the front springs and other only supply filler mini-packs that don't move the spring at all, only spacing the axle away from the spring.
Once you decide on the exact front suspension changes you will be using then search out your choice of shock to match that amount of change.

It IS OK

If you don't get the advice you need, I can SUGGEST you ask in the Superduty forum, but I'd never TELL you to go there in the first place

Haha, I'm getting better at taking hints (less than a year into marriage).

However, if anyone has any further advice, please do share. I only have 1 chance to get this right.

Oh and thanks for the suggestion. That kit looks really nice, probably my best option so far.

One other thing to be aware of is that most of the lifts are what you can expect with a diesel. Spring rates, shocks, etc. My 4.5" lift (granted it is a coil spring front end) netted me almost 6" with a v10. It is 700lbs lighter on the front end. I would be surprised if a 2.5 kit didn't get you the 3" you are looking for.

I really like this kit. I've decided on the 3 inch kit that lowers the springs as I like the spring rate.
The problem is I've sent this company 3 emails asking the same question and can't get a reply for the life of me. Everybody else responds I've asked a question to responds back within a few hours.
Not sure what's wrong with this place, but if they can't respond to a question, not sure I want to choose them.

This is my 03 V10 with a 3" leveling kit fro Donahoe, which is now Icon suspension. My leveling kit was meant to run a 33" tire, and thats what i did for a while, to small imo, upgraded to a 315/70/17 and love the look. When it comes to kits you get what you pay for by nice or by twice, good luck. And yes i would recommend the Icon kit

Man that looks damn good. Basically what I'm going for exactly.
I ended up with the PMF kit. It's good quality best I can tell.
I did go a little higher in the rear.
Also planning on that size of tire.

Thanks for chipping in on this. Really helps me know what I'm doing is "right". Tomorrow the front lift goes on and the tires at some point in the week.
