hello blue oval folks
1966 F-100 longbed
240, heavy (two-belt) alternator, 4speed, 4x4 with "light duty" (not 2-speed xfer, no neutral) drivetrain, thermactor delete
amps and oil pressure gauge
no power accessories, AC, roof/running lights, etc; except for Barden bumper
accessory/toolbox under right side
Purchased by my parents in 1981 with 5800 (no typo, 6k) miles; now has about 68k.
This truck could use power steering for mom's occasional adventures to The Home Store. The non-boosted brakes seem to be OK as she doesn't haul or tow with it ;-)
(long ago) Navy vet with obligatory wife, teens, etc.
We're all GM now (Buick 3800s for MPG, and Ford doesn't make a Suburban), but my first cars were: '64 Ranchero 289/T-10, '64 Falcon Sprint Convertible (260, T-10, mom still owns), '66 Comet Caliente (? what exactly is "hot" about a brown sedan???) 289/C-4, '72 Montego 351C/C-4, '74 Econoline 302/C-4.
