Curious how big of a tire you can go on a stock suspension

I have a 97 4x4 with 305x75r16. Same as 33x12.5s. Had to move the bumper forward 2" just like everyone else. Inside of tires rub front leafs when turning. Does great other then that.

That's a great dog right there. Definitely won't let the obs go anywhere.

Pics of the front with the 305/75s.

315/75R16 truck has 100% stock suspension and didn't do anything with the bumper. It's long from straight though lol

Rubs the leaf springs at full lock

Yeah but most people don't have the oversized wheel wells due to rust

By the looks off it , the bumper is spaced out by about 1"

I would venture to say the inner wonders of the number is trimmed well

Do you have pics of the mounts and outer corner of the bumper?

the the OP. SOME F250 trucks can fit 285s(33s) with no mods.
Others require shimming or trimming the bumper

F350s sit a lil higher and typically clear 33s with no mods

Everyone's a comedian

My bumper is tweaked in all directions. I'm blaming that as to why my tires fit with no modifications. The wheel wells are 100% stock as well.

I will say my bumper was trimmed on the passenger size, but not the drivers side when I bought it. Kinda odd since it had 265/75s on it. Either way, it appears the trimming was just enough the cut off the rolled edge on the bumper and not 2" as others have mentioned

In the end, some trucks will require modification with 33s and others will clear 35s. It's all about how your trucks set up

Are you at stock height Knotty?

If I recall my 33s rubbed the springs at lock, but just slightly. My 35s rub pretty hard at full lock
