2008 F-250 Brake Bleed Promblem!!
Hi well for the last few day i been trying to bleed my 2008 F-250 6.4L Brake system. So what i did is put two new calipers on the truck. Two front ones. Well sense then i have been trying to bleed the system. There is no air coming from the front or the backs calipers. Ever time the truck turns on the brakes are there but spongy. The fluid dont seem old they have a tint to them but noting bad. I have a vacuum pump and cant seem to get air out of them.
I did put a new caipler on the back a few months ago and i didnt need the truck on to bleed that caliper. But i never did the front. I did all the calipers on a 2003 F-350 and this did not happen. So i dont know what is going on with this truck. All i really know is that i need help. It been 4 day with almost 100F out side and im getting tired. So if you know something that can help please post!!

If by yourself, make a bleeder brake bottle out of a small Gatorade bottle or such.
Connect with 1/4" vinyl tubing you already have, fill half way up and poke the open end into the fluid. Make sure the line comes up out of the caliper to let the air bubble rise, and then back down, eliminating all air with the bleeder valve open.
It does sound like you might still have air that needs to be bleed out of the caliper.
Also, keep in mind, the hottest brake fluid in your system is down there in the caliper. You need to flush so all is clear. Don't ever pump old fluid back up the line to compress the calipers. Always open and get new, unopened fluid throughout the system.

Instead of finding a dirt road and making your ABS cycle, which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, you can find someone with a scan tool that has a function called "service brake bleed" or go to the dealer, as long as the bleeders are free they should not charge much to bleed them properly, last one I did before I had access to a high end scanner they charged me $75.00 and gave me a free wash and cleaned the interior.
