I have not found much info out there about my propane truck. 99% of what is out there is "Compuvalve problems, I hate Ford's propane upfitter". The Compuvalve is expensive and prone to fail. Mine had the Compuvalve disabled before I got it so it would only run on gasoline. But they left the rest of the propane fuel supply system, the tank in the bed, injectors, etc. Would be cool to get it going again on propane but only if gasoline spiked really high. Otherwise it doesn't make financial sense.
I would expect there are many other gas/propane bi-fuel Fords out there besides mine that have the same propane disable thing going on. The good thing about propane is that it won't sit there in the tank and go bad like gasoline. If I ever find a feasible way to make it dual fuel again, I already have most of the system in place.
Since your van is already devoid of emissions equipment you may want to seriously investigate the propane only system vs adding all the necessary stuff to get it gasoline ready. If your van is over 8500 GVWR it would only need to meet OBD1 standards for gasoline, but that is still a bunch of sensors and stuff your van does not currently have.

Well, I think there are less O2 sensors in mine and the ones there may be different too.
I think I've read differences in sensors in the cats.
I'm thinking if doing the swap it's hello MIL (CEL) all the time. A gasoline PCM installed will not be able to read 02 sensors that aren't there.
I presume that will give me less accurate Air / Fuel ratios at times. I would expect perhaps less mpg than a Ford built stock gasoline engine van.
I have read many posts about the Ford compuvalves failing and how high the cost is to replace.
I guess I will see what info there may be about swapping to propane. But I'm not optimistic to find much online about that.

I was told this van was mine, and there's been a lateral (read: sideways development).
I am getting stalled out at the moment from the person who has the van at the moment, trying to resolve this. So far I don't have the vehicle in my possession and there's a chance I will be blocked getting it.
Sorry about this stalling development.
