The crank position sensor was not plugged in causing the fuel pump control to not kick in.It started right when it was plugged in.I am waiting on vct seals now.I got the wrong one's.Did not know there was two different valve covers.
I have driven it about 10 miles,seems ok.
That is good news. And that kid has got one hell of a grandpa. Gave him his money back and then did all this - successfully. I even suspect you will give it back to him now. YES, I would say that kid's got one hell of a diesel mechanic grandfather.
He took the money and bought a Toyota.He is not a Ford man right now.I will drive it a while to make sure it is ok.This forum has been a great help.
