I made arrangements to have it installed this morning. Went and picked the truck up this afternoon and what a difference the ride is now. Don't get me wrong, it still rides like a 1 ton truck, but the hop/shimmy/bounce effect is gone.
Glad to see it's made a difference, jonrjen!

I'll do some checking, zeroo. Please send me a private message with your name, contact info, VIN, and servicing dealer. Have you stopped by your dealer for this yet?

Glad it is a good fix.
Which dealer are you working with, goatram? Please send over a PM as well, with your name, contact info, VIN, and mileage; I'll see if I can help get the part in quicker.

Had to go run a few errands earlier today that involved driving at a wide range of speed and road surfaces. It is unreal how nice this truck now rides. Did a little fine tuning of the Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks going to a softer setting, my truck rides better than our 2013 Taurus SHO with performance pkg. OK, to be honest the SHO rides pretty stiff with the performance pkg to begin with, but the truck is a better ride now than a F150 by far.

The ride is so improved that I called my service advisor at the dealership and told him thank you.

I ran up to Klement this morning with the TSB. i caught the guys by surprise. They have not heard about this issue or the TSB. of course they want to drive the truck and had no one available.I am scheduled to go up Thursday morning( in just a few hours after I get off work.) i am hoping to be able to explain the ride complaint that i have had since day one regarding this rough ride(hop, so to speak). there are several roads where the truck begins undulating and literally beats us to death. Same deal, slow down to below 40 or try to run 75-80. I had this problem with the stock 17 wheels and tires and the 35' tires I have on it now somewhat dampen the issue but it is still prevalent. I really like this truck but I would like to improve the ride. This is my 4th super duty but my first long bed and it is more than noticeably rougher the the ccsb i had before.

Well, I watched that video and I can't see where it hops. I must be blind. I was looking for movement in the truck body. Also must have a gel-padded seat cause I've not felt this hopping either.

I had the TSB part installed on my truck on Monday and it made not a da* bit of difference at all. Glad it was covered as it is basically a $300.00 piece of cr*p.

Depending on the road between 55 and 70. On some roads there is no problem. Guess I'll blame it on Gov. Moonbeam.

Mine starts at ~41-42 mph and is generally gone by 45-46 mph..
I just got a call that the parts are in and I made an appointment for next Monday to get it installed..
Keeping my fingers crossed!

The boys at Klement drove mine and were able to repeat at 45 mph. I really notice it at 45-48, again at 55 and at 68. This thing really hops when running through Oklahoma on 35. Bad enough my wife makes me pull over so she can take a break. My part will be in next week and I hope if this doesn't cure it, that it lessens the problem. I still haven't bought new shocks even though I have threatened to since I have owned the truck. the good thing is it only does it when it is empty or loaded fairly light.
I love this truck except for this issue. I have always owned short beds before and although they are stiff, never the bed hopping situation.
I found a video on you tube where the camera is mounted on the bed facing across the gap between the bed and the cab. This video relates what it happening with my truck and how bad it actually is.

On the above video, it starts hopping around the 1:30 mark and goes for a long time. Imagine that for an hour or so! I also found another video that has the camera mounted at the transfer case and you can see if really working the rubber mounts under the truck.

I can see it in that video with the cam on the cab.

Does it actually bounce the wheels on the road or is it the frame/body moving on the suspension?

I'll do some more checking to see if mine does it but I would have thought I would have noticed that much movement.

I have noticed on ours. If I am on very smooth road no vibration. But let there be bad road joints. Then it gets going somewhat like the video. But not that bad.

Local dealer is doing the TSB listed next week. Parts are on backorder.
