well the f350 was kind of special edition. cant remember which one but the young man that took it out pointed it out to me, it was on the side of the fender where the F350 was. yeah the frame mounts that bolt to the floor are really heavy duty and thick. and you can move the seat bracket all around. might be what they call dealer installation. think it can mount in a couple different vech. right now its set up for a 87 f350 and measurements come out to be the same as my 90 f150. its going to be at least 2 weeks before the shop can reupholster it. will post pics of when its done, and then installed.

Probably a Centurion I'd guess. They often got fitted with wood trim and plush seats.

i can see i can get some for around $1000.00, dont see any with wood for the console. the upholstery shop said $650.00 to re-do them, for $1000.00 im sure they would be all new, foam and springs, and i know they bolt in. as for comfort, well i dont know, i dont have them in my truck. dont see where they will be worse than my 26 year, 216,000 miles bench seat. no ill stick with these, i have them, they came out of a 1987 F350, already measured and they are a exact bolt in. the backs are a little higher, thats it. already sanded the wood down and have stain to try to match my fake wood dash trim i have. that would be cool. im sure im not going to get exact, but close. its going to be at least three weeks before ill get them in the shop and get them back. right now i have a bitch*n seat bracket that has a adjuster for the center seat, or arm rest.

went though the selection, and with the options i want it comes to $1200.00. so if i can get it done for $650.00, plus the $100.00 i paid for the bracket, well thats quit a bit under $1200.00. hey who knows, i might regret having these re-done. i might regret if i buy off the internet.

I have sat and drive in about 5-6 different aftermarket seats.

ALL of them suck. They dont hold a candle to the OEM

well this guy wants 1/2 down. yeah right. $650.00 job and you need 1/2 down. thats OK. went with another shop that is recommended and did a headliner in a 1970 mustang for me. ofcourse i knew it was going to cost about $900.00, but thats completely rebuilt, springs and foam. still cheaper than online and i can see them when i pick them up, plus i still like the mounting track it has. no money down. i do roofs and i never take money down, and believe me the roofs are a lot more than $650.00, well 98% of them. just be glad when it over and i can get over the fact that i spent so much on this 1990 XLT Lariat, but then i do love my truck, been very good to me. P.S. wife cant say anything, i bought her a new 2016 Toyota.

I dont blame the shop for wanting 1/2 down. I am sure he has gotten screwed more than one by new customers. At least with 1/2 down it covers his materials

he would of had my seat. no im going with the other place. i had figured $900.00 when i bought the seat. i like the = all new foam and springs. basically a brand new seat. just like buying form the site that Diesel_Brad sent me, except i have it in hand and know the structure of the frame. anyway ill be having them do it and will take pics next week. oh yeah, this will be in Grey.

And in all reality what is the seat worth after he puts his time and money into it?

To YOU it may be worth 750 but then if you back out(may not have money, may not like it when its done, etc) the upholstery shop is STUCK with it TRYING to sell it. I know I wouldn't pay $740 for an aftermarket seat. I would Much rather pay $500 for a Nice OEM seat

Yeah pretty much, half down seems real reasonable to me. Like Brad said, if you suddenly back out or never pick up your seat, what's that guy going to do? There isn't a huge market for 3rd party OBS Ford seats, especially ones with the love-it-or-hate-it bits of wood screwed into them.
