No power to the key
Hey y'all. I'm new to the page. My truck is a 1990 f350 with a 1989 12 valve cummins and a ZF5. This morning on my way to work the key on power wire running to my injection pump slid off and touched the block (hot on ground). The truck died, so I got out and slid it back on as its happened once before. Except this time, when I went to start the truck nothing came on. no radio, nothing. so I checked my fusible links, they looked fine. then I took a jumper wire from my battery (hot post) to the injection pump (leaving my old wire still attached). I went to the cab, turned the key over and my radio and things came on and the truck started. so I guess my question is, what did I burn up? the key on power wire I'm using is the red wire with a green stripe. the truck was a 460 7.5L previously, I cant remember what that wire went to originally. thanks for any help.

There are no fuses in that wire, only fusible links. It leaves the starter solenoid area as a yellow wire, there is a splice, and then there are two yellow wires that feed the ignition switch. The red/green leaves the ignition switch and goes out under the hood.
I would look under the dash at the top of the steering column at the ignition switch. Take a testlight and poke the yellow wires. If they are dead, you have a fusible link for something burnt out over at the starter solenoid, you just have to find it.
If you have power on the yellow wires I would turn the keyswitch to run and see if you have power on the red/green leaving the switch.
