Vacuum lines and smog question

I want to replace all my vacuum lines. Smog pump, cat and air lines behind heads have been removed, egr still in place. Before I order silicone vacuum hose, which hoses can I eliminate entirely based on what's been removed? Can the vacuum canister be removed or do I still need it?
