Tailgate question
Maybe this is a stupid question, but, will a 73-79 tailgate fit on a bump?

if the bump tailgate will fit on a dent than a dent tailgate should fit on a bump.

I wonder if maybe the body lines wouldn't line up. Reason I'm asking, I have a guy selling a really nice dentside tailgate.

I see the body lines don't match, but, that doesn't look that bad.

There are a few small things I could do, sheet metal wise, to make the lines look like they belong.....

While it will fit, ALL the mounting hardware is different except the supports aka scissors.

Yeah, and the more I look, I'm thinking just go ahead and combine the two bumpside tailgates I have to make one good one.

There you go Pat. I would also. At the same time maybe you can give your tailgate handle a unique Pat special location and swing like Randle did.
Maybe a beer tap handle?

Check this out. I googled originally to post a pic of one to be funny. But I found you can buy them "personalized".
