yesterday in manhattan sucked.
those people on that island are total rectal orifices!!!
it took me 3 1/2 hours to get home.
i sat at one traffic light for 45 minutes.
i was the only one in a legal lane, and a cop was giving me crap.
he told me i had to go straight instead of making the left turn. bus was blocking the intersection in front of me, and another one behind me so no one could move.
cop came after me though.
i put him in his place though when i asked him what he would like me to do, drive up on the sidewalk and knock down the light pole and fire hydrant, or push the bus out of the way so i could drive the wrong way on the one way street to my right and in front of me. he said oh, and made the bus behind me go down the FDR parkway.
than 2 hours to drive 2 1/2 miles across lower manhatten.
i got to within 200 yards of the lincoln tunnel to sit there for another 45 minutes because two bus drivers decided to play demo derby and hit each other. then stopped mid tube to wait for the police show up. then another hour to drive the remaining 40 miles home.

went in this morning and the bossman asked if i wanted the day off.
i was in back in the truck and flying out of the yard before he had time to think what he asked me.
he called me on the phone a few minutes later to say you could have at least waited for me to finish asking the question and give me an answer before leaving!!
