Can someone please explain how to get to the two bushings (C5TZ7343A) at the end of the steering column under the hood for the shifter lever and rods going to the 3 on the tree 3.03 tranny? I have read posts stating this is a 15 min job but I can't find anything from the maintenance manual on how to get there.

What year is the truck you want to install these bushings in? If it's the 1973 in your signature, C5TZ-7343-A bushings/insulators are incorrect.

1973/79 F100/350 3 M/T use (2) EOSZ-7341-B nylon bushings (available from Ford) that snap into the selector levers (see pic).

 

I have 7341 on hand to install. Is a special tool needed to pop the rod out of the bushing?

See attached pic. I thought C5TZ7343A was the bushing that goes between the shift lever and the column highlighted in the area in red?

Thank you. I have the 7341B NOS ready to install and understand where it's located. I apologize if I'm not clear but is C5TZ7343A part of any of the 3 on the tree transmission/column/gear selector linkage. If so, where?

 

C5TZ-7343-A is a rubber bushing & insulator kit. It was NOT used after 1972 with 3 M/T
