Fuel Tank Relocate to Frame from Cab - Options?

Everyone,

I've done a bit of research online looking for the best and most cost-effective way to relocate the gas tank from behind the seat. I found Aerotanks' 1028 tank, 32 gallon, but it's kind of pricey.

What have others done? I tried using the search tool but it didn't come up very well. If someone can point me to a tech wiki on this site on the subject I'd be grateful.

I have a 71 F250 4x4 chassis, 67 Mercury body going on there.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Square body suburban tank will fit between the rails and be pretty easy to fab mounts with the bed off. Chevy gauges runs on a different ohm range so you'll have to deal with that.

Just use the search function and the sticky at the top. Some people use 70 Mustang tanks. TP Daniels used a Scout tank in his Highboy.

Visit the Tech Info Compilation... it's stickied at the top of the forum for a reason. Links are provided therein.

Mike and TPDaniels have well documented threads on this subject.
