New H-beam rods for 351M/400 engines

You asked for it.... so here it is.
Track Boss H-beam connecting rod for the 351M/400 engine.
Picture shows New Track Boss H-beam rod compared to OE factory rod.
Same .975" small end for the press fit.
This rod can easily have a bushing pressed in and run a float pin for an aftermarket piston.
Features ARP 2000 rod bolts
Total weight of rod is about 750 grams, that is about 100 grams lighter then the stock rod.
Rods are manufactured for TMeyer by Molnar Technologies.

Have you tried balancing a crank with these rods yet ? What weight of a piston are you looking at using ? What is your target weight ?

We just got the rods, so we have not done anything with them.
Only sold a set to a custom at this point.

Are they going to be affordable ? Good rods can get pricy.

I would say they are priced like the typical quality H-beam rod.
We get $599 a set.

Tim, at what level of performance would you recomend these rods over stock rods?

Good question. And, as compared to smoothed and shot-peened rods with ARP bolts - like those winging their way to you?

Well, I can tell you we have used the stock rods in 500HP/500TQ applications with no issues.

I can't honestly answer the question.
The rod is 100g lighter, which can be a benefit.
And when the labor to recondition rods and new ARP bolts run $300,
some may want the light weight and extra insurance for the extra $300 difference.

Stock rods look beefy enough but I have straightened/thrown out more than a few over the years. Something that should always be checked.

Something thats been on my mind, if you would have made them with a 6.62 length and a .912 pin we could have had a HUGE piston selection with 351C pistons.

Ok I found some -18cc dish 351C pistons with a comp height of 1.660. BUT they are $700. Could just order me some customs at that price.
