This looks pretty slick. Anybody use one or have any feedback?

If it is like others of this design I've had, the fluid comes out the end -- exactly NOT what you want! And it is zinc coated metal which WILL eventually corrode, whereas the new Ford one is all brass and doesn't corrode, so their sales pitch is BS, in my humble opinion...

Since the plug hole is horizontal, if you use that petcock it will not allow all the crud to drain. Plus, when I pull the drain plug I flush it out with bursts of carb cleaner. Can't do that with the petcock installed.
I say no go.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll go with the Ford brass one.

TECH TIP #2

Don't over-tighten - just snug is plenty!
It's funny that their #2 tip is also the solution to not getting the Ford plug stuck. It seals with an o-ring, you don't have to crank it closed with pliers. And there's no way the large brass plug is corroding to anything so badly inside 5k miles (meaning you drain frequently enough to make the water catcher matter) that you can't pop it loose with channel locks unless you park the truck on a pile of wet salt on a pier in the ocean.

It's funny you just described the vehicles of the Jersey Shore. Lol

Uh oh! BPD boo booed!

I was not logged in thiscam when I first saw your post. My first thought was BPD made a mistake! My experience with them iscthat they are lijely not perfect but they are as close to perfect as Federal Express is. Never the cheapest but they always come through.

Looks like a solution trying to find a problem to me. 10k miles through a European winter where the roads are sometimes white with salt and the big brass screw was just over finger tight - no corrosion anywhere either, almost still shiny...
