Little Help With This Please!

Last Monday I got a message on the message center of my 12 250 6.7, Check coolant additive. I stopped at the local Ford parts dept. and bought a quart of Ford orange coolant additive and installed as per instructions. My question is how do I cancel this message that pops up each time I start the truck? I tried going down to information and hitting delete, it keeps showing a warning. Any information would be greatly appreciated. krazy_horse

Pretty sure that message is prompting you to test your coolant nitrate levels, not pour in the additive.

Which message center do you have? The 4.3" LCD screen, or the base 2-line display?

Tom, My truck is the Lariat. I think she has the LCD screen. The instructions on the Ford coolant additive stated it could be used twice before the antifreeze/coolant must be replaced. Thank,s Jim.. krazy_horse

Right, but it may not have been necessary, hence the check strip. Don't think you would have harmed anything though.

It's been a few years since I owned a 6.7L truck, so I did some quick searching around. Try this:
