Hey guys, I have a 95 f250 about 125k on it. And the oil pressure sending unit is bad because I have no oil pressure in the dash. I got the new sending unit then relized that the old one was rounded. How do I go about getting this out ?
thanks

They're all pretty rounded to start with. A 6pt socket has never failed me. IIRC it's 1-1/16 but I'd just use the smallest thing that you can fit without a hammer.
I'm sure you can F it up with a open ended wrench, followed by a 12pt that's too big and still manage to get it out with a pipe wrench or channel locks. The hex size is in the 1" ballpark and the threads are 1/4NPT so that alone gives you a good amount of leverage.
Just curious, you checked/verified that it is indeed the sending unit by taking the wire off the sending unit & grounding it with the key turned to "On" whereupon the gauge needle pegged all the way to the right/H ?
