Hey everyone. I have never been much on these forums, however I'm a huge fan of the bronco. I've been wanting to customize one for years. Right to the point I reckon. I know l&l makes a kit for a swap to the 460. What I want to know is what manuel Trans 5 or 6 speed could I use for that motor in my 86 bronco xlt. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

 

you will want to grab a ZF 5 speed out of an 88-96 F250/F350 4wd truck running a 460. heck you might even just grab the motor also while your at it complete with TCase. You might even see if the motor mounts transfer over from an 86 F250/F350

dont forget to grab the necessary peddles and the hydraulic clutch setup. your 86 is efi so you might consider staying that route if you can find the right setup on the newer truck
