Injectors

Was informed by ford that #2 is bad so it looks like I'll be doing that this weekend. Yay. But I do have a question for you guy. When replacing injectors. Is it necessary to replace the standpipe and dummy plug. I thought you could just buy O rings for them but the guy at for said they do not sell ORings for them. You have to buy new standpipe and dummy plug in a kit that's costs 162$$$. That on top of the 265.00 injector plus the 180.00 core. Kinda feel like I'm being f****d and not in the good way. Any tips would be appreciated

No you don't have to replace them. I've reused standpipes more than once, just don't rough house with them. I always start my standpipes out before I unbolt the HPO rail and then slip it out with the loose rail. AFA dummy plugs go, they don't get moved at all just replacing an injector.

Cool thanks for the info guys. This will be my first time doing this just don't wanna make any mistakes. Also thought about cleaning the turbo while I'm at it. The jury is still out on that one though.

Injector $203.50 after core return.
6.0 Ford Injector link

And here's a link for a full kit or just one feed tube. Kit $107.01 or single stand pipe for $46.20
Stand pipe / dummy plug kit

I also found this source for oem Ford injectors with Ford warranty for $195 ea. or $1500 for a full set. They are in TX. I have never bought from them, yet.
