Post Wheel Spacers not a good idea?

So in the next week or so i hope to have my 4 inch lift and 35 inch tires installed. And I like the way wheel spacers look, I was maybe thinking 2 inch spacers? Then I heard some stories of them falling off. . . I dont want to take any chances as I will have this vehicle off road at some point. So does anyone have experience with wheel spacers? Should I "steer" clear of them, or is there a few good brands? Thanks.

stay away from them. spacers are for trailer queens and mall crawlers.

go big or go home!!! 22's are for honders. you need at least 48 inch rims for a 4X4 truck.
a trailer queen is a truck that gets trailered to an event, rolled off into the show parking spot, then winched back onto the trailer for the ride back to the temp controlled garage.

Ive never been into rims bigger than like 20 inches. . . just me though. The life of a trailer queen sounds like my type of deal those guys have too much money, they should give some to me.

i like 16 inch tires with giant sidewalls. gives a smoother ride, and do not cost $600 each.

currently i have 7 4X4's, all snow plow rigs. the 02 is my daily driver.
plus 3 cars. 99 crown vic unmarked police car, 65 falcon 2dr ht, and a 66 7 litre 4 speed convertible. and the 14 edge at my parents place to get them to doctors appointments.
at one point up to around 5 years ago i had another 13 falcons, 3 mustangs, one more 99 crown vic, a 99 grand marquis, and 5 more 88 to 92 F350's but decided i had to downsize.

Ah, small business owner. That makes sense. How/Why did you have so many falcons?

at one time years ago i ran a heavy equipment escort service, at any given time there were between 6 and 12 trucks out on the road in a 4 state radius. then the bottom fell out of trucking and they were trying to pay me the same for truck and driver what i was paying my drivers. so i sold the 6 newest trucks to the drivers and got out of it.
the falcons were one of those things where i was offered one for parts and it just grew out of control. people would offer them to me instead of junking them. and i would take them, because with the exception of two, there was only minor repairs needed. so i salvaged parts from the two that were not road worthy and used them for the other cars.
about 5 years ago i realized i was never going to restore all of them and started selling everything off. i only kept the rare ones, the 65 2 dr ht with the 289 4 barrel, and the 66 7 litre 4 speed convertible. i was also going to keep the 69 mustang grande coupe with 351C, C6 auto, and 4 wheel disc brakes, but a guy from albany ny came for one of the falcons and offered me $15,000 more than i had into it, so it went away too.

i also had 4 V8 novas, 2 big block impalas, a big block chevelle, and 2 camaro ss/rs big block cars. but they were before the falcons around 25 years ago when i was still running the body shop. found them broken real cheap put a few bucks into them and sold them for big money.

Wheel Spacers put unnecessary stress on the studs, get properly offset wheels and you won't need them!
