DR is correct ,FE motor. These were used in the early 60's on 406 and 390 engines. The one you have appears to be OEM Ford. The good part is that you have a complete setup, fuel log , linkage, etc. It could have considerable value.Check around and see what they are selling for. A very good find.

A quick look on e-bay, search ford tripower, I think you'll be surprised.

Casting numbers won't ID a Ford engine. The only really accurate way to ID is measure the bore and stroke. Exception is the 427, look on the side of the block, just above the oil pan. There will be three cross bolts for the main bearings on both sides.

Tri-Power (Ford: 6V) intake manifold/carbs could be from a 1962/63 Thunderbird 390, also available at the parts counter for 1962/64 Galaxie/Mercury 390; 406 (1962/63) or 427 (1963/64).
This set-up was standard equipment on 1962/63 Thunderbird Sports Roadsters, VIN engine code M
1958/64 FE engines have rounded valve covers without holes for oil caps, smog valves. Have an engine oil fill tube on the right front side of the intake manifold.
btw: Since the engine has an alternator, it's probably from a 1963 Thunderbird, as this was the first FoMoCo vehicle to come with them as standard equipment.
1965 was the first year that all other FoMoCo vehicles came with alternators as standard equipment.
