Looking to buy 2011 F350.....help

So to start I was a car only guy and when it came time to get a truck I didnt do my homework and got a 6.0. Just sold that the other day and I have my eye on a 2011 F350 Lariat. Seaport Auto - Details for 2011 Ford Super Duty F-350 Lariat SRW - Portland Used Cars & Trucks

Its a Canada truck MFD 6-1-11

Just wanted to know what questions I should ask when I go to look at it?

Any help would be great

I hope I posted this in the right section. I really am just trying to get some help from anyone that has a truck like this. Just want to know what issues you have had and anything I should be on the look out for.

What do you want to know? The good is that it is a later build 2011, so a lot of the early growing pains where worked out by then.

I owned 3, 2011 trucks and now a 2015.

As far as questions - how many miles, what work was done to it, was it wrecked (do you have Car fax in Canada?)

I assume you are in the US. Why was the truck imported from Canada?

Do you have to pass a full emissions test on transfer?

Sometimes dealers will ship them to the US to get more money for them. When I looked into trading my 2011 the dealer told me the trade would be shipped to the US.

Some folks are of the mind that a deleted truck has had more abuse than one that hasn't been deleted. While that stereotype may be somewhat true, it may not apply to your truck at all. What your risk tolerance is in this regard is something only you can decide.

As Dak said, the early 11's did have a valve issue that was corrected later during the model year. Other than that, there are no specific 2011 issues I can think of. If you buy it, post up some pictures and join in the fun here...

Personally, I would not touch an altered vehicle but - that's just me..

What the others have said is true.. It Would be good if it has a freshly installed radiator too....

Good luck!

I forgot the month of the beginning of the Job2 trucks, but the Job1 trucks had an exhaust valve issue on "some" trucks that would basically destroy the engine.
Do a bit of searching on this forum for 2011 exhaust valves for more info..
