Work to do, Parts to buy, What to do?

Ah... the short bus was on an E-Series chassis, right?
Well, those long busses at auction that you are looking at now, Mr Shark, have blue painted engines I'll bet. Meaning that they are International branded T444e's (on the conventional cab versions). And those all have bellowed up pipes. I know, because I saw those being built at Navistar's engine plant in 2001.
Riffraff charges what, $539 for IH Upipes rattle canned black?
You could take that $500, buy a bus for $277, have it delivered for $300, and have an extra engine to go along with your genuine International bellowed up pipes. Plus a sellable transmission, heavy duty rear end, several tons of scrap metal, and a bunch of seats.

Let's discuss this part a little. Do you think that they are just paint bombed black and not ceramic coated? How much should it cost to buy the uncoated version and take them to a coating outfit and have them done?

I then called JetHot Jet-Hot High Performance Coatings and was quoted $75 per uppipe to coat. You could call and see if you can get a better deal.

Thanks for that input. They were out when I looked at them and I expected that they would be good quality as that is what has built his business on but you never know. I thought that the coated price was a bit steep but if it costs that much to have them done by a local vendor his price is good.

I have the exact same question. Hence the "?" after my question. It wasn't the price in question, as that is self evident and instantly discoverable on the website.
I have several rattle cans of Ceramic high heat paint. The cans say "Ceramic" all over them. Rated to 1500 degrees. Not VHT either... another brand, name escapes me as I type this. Anyway, since I have purchased and used that ceramic paint, and have baked painted parts in my 3ft long, 2ft wide welding rod oven, it sounded plausible when I read another post a couple years back stating that Riff Raff uppies were "ceramic coated" this way.
But I wasn't sure, hence I put a question mark. I've seen and touched brand new out of the box Riff Raff black ceramic coated uppies, and they didn't look or feel any different to me than the results that I get (or ghetto) by with using a rattle can. Then again, since the pipes were new and not mine, I didn't do a scratch or scuff test to see how well the coating adhered.
So yes, I wondered the same thing... ever since I read that post and saw the new up pipes myself. Hence the question mark.

Not sure if it would work, but here is an informative thread I read about it: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ater-pump.html
If you lived a little closer, I wouldn't mind giving you a hand with some of these- especially if you have a nice air conditioned garage with remote overhead crane and robotic arms to control from my smart phone, LOL
