Turn Signal Flasher 6-volt & Positive Ground

I rewired my truck. Now, the fuse at the power to the turn signal flasher blows. I have a three-prong six volt flasher. The terminals are labelled +, K, & S. (it's from a volkswagon.) Most of american made flashers are labelled +, P, & L. What would be the correct connection to these terminals?
