1976 Ford Ranger 4X4 Stepside
I just picked up a project truck. It's a super solid and looks to be origional 18k mile truck. It's a 76 4x4 stepside. Truck was taken apart around 1980 ish to put a different motor in it and has been sitting ever since. Someone put a suspension lift on it along the way and the interior has been taken out too. There is a motor will need to be rebuilt cab is like new with origional paint as is the box. It's missing the doors fenders and hood. I would call th9s truck a basket case but an extremely solid one. Literally no rust anywhere its always been under a roof. I will post pics tomorrow but have a few questions about this truck.
Where there many stepside 4x4's produced in 76?
I found an intake in the back with a tri power set up what numbers should l look for to figure out what it is?
Are aftermarket parts decent on these trucks or look for origional parts.
Thanks for the input and I'll post pics tomorrow when I pick it up.

Not sure how bad the rust is in Wisconsin, but I wouldn't say more than $1500 on a great day. Suspension lift isn't anything special, especially since the rear has stacked blocks. Also you have to consider how hard it is to find good parts in your area to complete the truck. You need a lot more than just doors, fenders, and a hood
Are you sure the truck is a 76? Holes on the cowl for emblems indicate it is a 77/78/79. Well, atleast the cab is.
At the end of the day, if you are looking for a step side, and haven't found one, you might have to spend a little more.
