Autolite 4100 1.08 venturi carburetor #C6AF-F for sale. This small 4 barrel is a 480 CFM carburetor.

This hard-to-find carb came stock on many V8 Fords in the 1960s. It still has the Ford tag and is the “short snout” version that people on other FTE posts have said will also work on a 300 six with the right manifold. I bought this carb off of eBay several years ago and had Gotta Fish Carbs rebuild it for me. Although Gotta Fish has mixed reviews, I was very pleased with the rebuild—my local machine shop confirmed that it was done correctly—and I put about 1500 miles on this carburetor before removing it a month ago. I was using it on my 428 in conjunction with an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold but it will work well with any squarebore intake.

I used a manual choke with this carb so even though it was rebuilt, I cannot attest to how well the electronic choke works.

The ONLY reason I am selling this carb is that I have decided to abandon my quest for better gas mileage out of my 428—an exercise in futility and stubbornness to say the least. My solution—I finally did what so many others have done and bought a Honda Civic for long trips. My F250 now sports an Edelbrock 650 CFM carb. Given that I do not have a mid-1960s Galaxy to restore, I no longer need the 4100 and I don’t want it to sit on a shelf in my garage when someone else could use it.

Although this carb worked perfectly when I removed it a few weeks ago, I am selling it “as is.” I’m an honest guy but I’m not a professional mechanic so I’ll make no guarantees other than (1) it is the carb in the photos and (2) it is exactly as I described above.

Rebuildable Autolite 4100 1.08 cores go for $100-$200 and it is common to see a rebuilt 1.08 (or even a 1.12) carb advertised for $500+. Get on eBay and check it out yourself.

Given that this carb has a few miles on it, I figure about $325 plus shipping is a fair asking price. I make a few bucks and you get a great carb.
