Spray liner

Does the factory spray liner has the ford logo in the bed but the aftermarket liners don't? Is this true??

True as far as I have heard and seen. Going with a Line-X Platinum myself.

Is there any other difference (other than the logo) between ford and aftermarket liner?

There is a lot of debate about that but one single fact swayed me... the lifetime warranty.

But in my opinion, a top tier Line-X is obviously superior just from looking at it even if you haven't done much research.

Ford does have the logo at the front. The Ford is $100 cheaper than Line X. I have it in my 16 and ordered it for my 17

Check out the Reflex spray in liner. I have had both Line-X and Rhino and I like the Reflex a lot better.

Not necessarily, this is a quote from the Line-X dealer down by Indy on an 8' bed. I would compare their base liner to the Tough Bed I guess.

"It will cost $445.00 plus tax to Line-X your 2017 F 250 with Standard Line-X. Give me a call @ 765 361-9999 if you have any questions or to schedule an appointment.
Thanks Jon

Jon what would be the quote for the Line X platinum on a F450 (8' bed). How does platinum compare to the factory liner?

I too have had several trucks with spray in liners...Rhino, Line-X, Speedliner (I think that is the name). What I have found is that the quality of the liner and the thickness is primarily determined by who did the installation. One Line-x dealer can spray it thicker than another one. No guarantee that it will be the same from dealer to dealer. The chemical and property differences between the spray in liners is not as determining as the installation. Didn't sand the bed enough? Contaminate the bed? Spray less product to save on material? These concerns I found had the greatest impact on how well the liner lasted and performed. And while I like Line-x the best it is expensive here in the northeast especially if you want their top spray in liner. The factory Ford liner is cheaper and from the one's I have seen ('16's) the thickness was pretty good and even. Some installers will build up the thickness at the edges to give you the impression that they sprayed it heavy and also cheat on the sides of the bed where they spray it thinner.

I have had a Line-X liner in my 09 F150 from the day it was picked up at the dealer. I had the Ford dealer do all the arrangements and I feel I got a better price and instal this way. I still like the liner.
When I looked at the 16 F150 ford spray in liners I noticed that the very bottom of the inside tailgate did not have any material on it. If you lower the tailgate and look at area adjacent to the bed there is an area without protection. To me it looks like a good way to have some paint removed as you slide irregular shaped objects out of the bed. My Line-X is sprayed compleatly under the tailgate.

Tnriverside...yes you are correct. That is the one area that bothered me. My current truck has all that area sprayed. It actually is one of the most prone areas to get scratched up since material in the bed always gets between the tailgate and the bed. If I go with the factory spray in liner I would get this area done as well.
