starter question

I think it should but will the starter off a 2000 work on a 2003?

I know they show different part numbers when u look them up but i think u can interchange them.

IIREC (??), they are revers compatible only as the 03 has a 3 bolt pattern and the 00 has a two bolt pattern.

oopsy 03 is 2 bolt and 00 is 3 bolt Ive put a 2 bolt in a 99 cause no 3 bolt on shelf.

I knew it was something like that but the dust had covered mine as well. It was a 3 bolt starter.

I was not doing the work but was giving an old one to someone who needed it for an 03

All are interchangeable.
I have a three bolt starter on my two bolt truck now.
