Punctuation would help a lot. Please explain "I swapped the 351w in it got a new computer get the wiring harness and everything".
Where did the wiring harness come from?
Have you checked for power at the injectors?
Personally I hate the 300 I6, glad you got rid of it. Need more details on what you swapped in.
PS...can the attitude, it will net you nothing. We all want to help you but starting out with the comments in your original post will send most folks to the next thread.

What? The code reader? Its battery powered so it should turn on regardless but if what you're saying is it doesn't communicate with the PCM then that isn't good and suggests the PCM may not be powering on. Do you get a check engine light when the key is first turned to the run position?

Is there a connector for the crank sensor? And do you have one hanging for the EGR sensor too or did the harness have the correct connector for that? I'm guessing your motor is not from a '96 truck.. is that correct?

OK relax.. you just found the wizards with a map to the haystack.
If your engine harness does not have a connector for a crank sensor and does have the correct connector for the EGR sensor on you '90 then it is not a '96 OBD2 harness. I can say this with 100% certainty because the crank sensor and the EGR system are the two things that are unique to the '96 motor.
