I'll have to get another one but it seems to get cool when I'm going down the road if I stop and just let it idle it doesn't blow as cold

That is normal on a vehicle equipped with a mechanical clutch fan. There isn't a lot of air flowing over the condenser at idle.

Ok that makes sense , but I added another small can for kicks and giggles , and it blows really cold and I also noticed last night I was pulling a suburban so I cut the fan off and as soon as I did that hot air was coming through the floor vent and some was coming out of the vents

Sounds like you have a blend door issue then, if you are getting hot air coming out of the vents?

Check blend door and also check temps at vent @ high idle. 2k rpm roughly.

The vacuum line going to the recirculate door is probably broken. Its located underhood on the firewall on the passenger side.
