Climate control over 2k rpm goes defrost

Okay I am working with the app and can't search other than paging

Cam someone help me with diagnostic routine. Anytime the vents are on and the engine produces 2k rpm or more it goes to defrost.

Why and how to remedy

Most likely a vacuum leak. If 4wd, biggest cause is in the front hub vacuum system (ESOF).

Yep, mine used to do that too. As was mentioned, more than likely the ESOF switch by the battery. The get a bit of water in them and they rust and pop open creating a small vacuum leak.

Back track from the hubs to the system and there is a switch to find. Okay great a starting point. Thanks

So, how does the system work. I remember reading a vac leak issue with the system. But how is it designed

To see how ESOF works, check out the "sticky" Tech Folder. Lots of info in there. You should be able to get to it with the app you are using.

Oh yeah, good call. I was questioning on the flapper does that adjust the climate sectors. Vent, floor, def. Not the real actuator system.
