I don't think my self-leveling suspension is working (2015 Expedition)
I have a 2015 Expedition EL Limited that I bought used in February with 13k miles on it. It now has 20k. The window sticker that the dealer provided stated that it had the self-leveling suspension option. However, I've towed a couple of travel trailers with tongue weights around 700 pounds, and it never seems to "adjust". So I have to torque the hell out of my load leveler bars to get the truck to be even close to level.
So, how does this system work? The manual says that it takes effect after you've driven a couple of miles. Well, I've driven 150 miles and it doesn't move. Should I notice it, do you hear an air compressor running? Any way to test it?
I'm just trying to figure out what's going on before I take the time to go to the dealership and deal with all that hassle.
Thanks.
