I just bought a 2006 F250 XLT 5.4, I am looking around online and have noticed that the aftermarket selection is not very abundant. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find parts such as intake, tuner and exhaust upgrades? Hoping to do a Cat delete in the exhaust if possible. Any Suggestions would be great! Interested in this as well. Just bought a 2006 5.4 KR and I want to try and get better fuel milage from it.

 

I hear A lot of talk about a blower, electric fans, and heads either from trick flow or Kaase p-38's. with a low torque engine like the 5.4, your looking to improve tq to get moving quicker. or be able to move swifter while moving. all of these mods are expensive but will improve delivered power.

 

I too was curious about performance upgrades for my 06 5.4 and it seems its a very limited market. I've seen threads on a supercharger install but it wasn't just a simple bolt on and since the pistons aren't forged the boost is lower.
On most engines you can drop in a performance cam, port the heads for increased flow, deck the block for increased compression or add a turbo or supercharger. Relatively simple performance upgrades. Not this engine. Heck you can't get a performance intake or throttle body that'll do anything significant.
I've read that the easiest/best thing to do is change out the diff gears to 4:30 or higher, other than that you'll get into spending some serious money.
