2011 F-250
I'm trying to figure out what's that little module with an antenna. I'm hoping it's a remote start. Help please.

 

My guess is that is for either a remote start sytsem or a alarm system ( could be a combination system that has both remote start and alarm system )

What I would do is poke your head under the drivers side and look up underneath the bottom panel where the steering wheel is and look up and above where the emergency brake pedal is and see if there is a little black box with harnesses and wires connected to it and see if on the front or back cover if there is a name and or model number on it and it may give you a start point to look thru Google once you have the info, or take it to a shop that sells remote starters and security sytems and they may be able to tell you.

It could be a ford one, but this would be a guess I am going to guess you dont have remotes?

 

No remote. The truck came with regular keys.

that is a remote starter and alarm combination. see if you can type that model number into google and see if there is a dealer in your area that sells that manufacturers brand. or contact that manufacturer and see if he can point you to a dealer in your area that sells service and installs it, you may be able to buy remotes for it and just have them programmed to that system

 

That particular one is a Compustart system. so look for Compustart dealers in your area

 

yes, that is a long distance add on non-Ford remote start system. Possibly alarm also.

It says to program new remotes....

The two 600R remotes are preprogrammed to the unit Page 5

This system is designed for ease of installation and the two included remotes are preprogrammed. In the event you may need to program new remotes cycle the ignition ON / OFF five times within seven seconds and tap the Lock button (0.5 seconds) on the first remote, and then tap the Lock button (0.5 seconds) on the second remote.

 

Bought a remote from eBay and it worked. Thanks all for the help.
