so I think this week I'm going to upgrade to the newer style ford towing mirrors(2011and up),i need power and heated with turn signals.


I would like auto dimming if that is a option somewhere,not a necessity but why not.


so is e-bay or amazon the best place to look or do I check out ford and just pony up?


for those who have done this already are there ant issues to look out for

Twitchy may have a set. Had extras at one time but that was before I deployed. So he may not anymore.

As far as I know the 1A auto mirrors are the only decent aftermarket ones. I just ordered a set for $623. Should be here this week.

 

I've had the A1 power adjust, heated with signals and running lights for about 3 years now. No issues at all, plug and play and there are no waves at all in the glass like has been reported by some users with the eBay and Amazon mirrors. A1 didn't have the power fold feature available when I bought mine or I would have gotten that option too.

 

I bought a driver side for my Ranger from 1Aauto. Direct bolt in looks great & great price.

 

What's all does a pair of $623 do? I thought my power folds did everything.

Oh, and BTW they are '08 plus mirrors.

 

Haha good catch. Unfortunately not much. We pay pretty much double what you southerners pay for auto parts and pretty much everything else for that matter. They were the heated, power, manual fold mirrors.

 

I just purchased my 08 style mirrors and love them 1A Auto. Heavy duty with a OEM feel. You're going to pay double from ford.

 

I wish. Unfortunately A1 doesn't have a power telescope option.

You linked the first one twice.

Also those will physically bolt on but electrically won't be plug and play; you will need to wire them up yourself and get switches for the fold and telescope options.

They do sell mirror upgrades for the earlier years in the new style mirrors with an extra switch and wiring for power fold that just plugs in and works. The only custom work is putting the switch somewhere.
