Looks just like my tailgate project did. If anyone ever asks, I'll steal you pictures, lol. Henry put those rivets in real good. The only good way I've found to get them out is drill.

If you grind one side down flush and then drive the rivet from the flush side through a hole that is a little bigger than the rivet head, it works really well. I thought of drilling the rivet out but I didn't want to compromise the hole since I will rivet the parts together later.

That's how I also prefer to take rivets out whenever possible.

If not, then I use a smaller bit to drill out the center of the rivet so as to not compromise the hole, and then knock it out with a punch and hammer.

I could not drive them out no matter which side I ground off, even heat. Running board brackets are a real pain, hard to back up.

I was trying to buy this a few years ago and she thought she might still use it someday. Her dad built it to bring baby calves in on the loader. She messaged me to see if I still want it. Has a good tailgate too IIRC. Also she wants to get rid of some engines in the shed, A 60 truck Hemi, a couple Y blocks, and FE and I think some kind of Mopar.

I like it! I am going to try your idea of using a copper backer when I fix the damaged areas on the tailgate.

I know where there is a 26-27 T roadster body, no back end. It has one door and I think I have a couple more. Mate it up to the pickup bed and it's a start!!

So the body is complete but has no turtle deck/ trunk? If so that would be a good start!

Yeah, it has a subframe but no turtle deck or back and I think the roadster and roadster pickup use the same body.

They do. The calf hauler would bolt right on the sub frame.

You guys could be in the calf hauling business within a week.....My money's on Willowbilly's RPU if the first guy to market gets the best price though.

We could cut down the calf rack and put it on WB's RPU and be ready for the spring calf crop.
