Trucks I used to own had brake controllers that were able to lock up the trailer brakes. New I have this 08 F250, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to adjust the brake controller so it puts a little drag on the truck slowing down. It shows connected and will brake, but I want more gain. Any help would be great.
If you want to lock up the trailer brakes, just squeeze the two levers (below the minus and plus signs) together. Please don't try braking the trailer that way, it will flat spot the tires.
What do you look for when the gain only goes up to 1.0 . Cant get it to go any higher. I thought it use to go up to 2.0. Have trailer on back and cant stop very good.
