Is the driveshaft connected now? With no driveshaft, the viscosity of the trans oil will keep all the gears spinning. Try starting it in gear with the clutch pedal pushed in, then shifting thru the gears.

Yep the drive shaft is connected.
I'll try starting it in 2nd with clutch in, tonight.
Currently it's in neutral and the draft shaft will rock back and forth (not very much travel though).

Thanx.

I pulled the clutch recently to replace the fork since it was bent.
I was able to see the clutch work when I had the shifter back in incorrectly.
I was able to depress it and it stopped the main drive shaft.

Now I've put the shifter back in with what I think is correct, I have neutral back.

Is there a procedure in shifting this F-6? It has a high and low.
Thanx.
A good adjustment starting place is usually an inch of clutch pedal free movement before the mechanism, fork and throw out bearing hits the clutch fingers. If you have too much movement before the throwout bearing hits the clutch fingers, the clutch may not disengage fully and the gears will grind going into mesh. Too little free movement and the clutch will slip under load.

That's what I love about this forum! Great advice, people. I went back and adjusted the clutch 1/8+ inch, moving the clutch pedal free movement and arm and the truck moves into gear perfectly! I moved her up a few feet in second gear, then found reverse and moved it back.
My wife is on a business trip and told me that if I move her (the truck) before she gets back and can see (this is a year in the making), I'm dead... So now I'll pretend on Weds that it was the first time...

Possibly this week upon my wifes return. The brakes are still if'y. The master cylinder is leaking. I have a solid parking brake though. If I take the truck out it will be in the neighborhood first to access the brakes. It's nice and flat.

No! We want him alive. He's already received his standing orders.

Yes alive is good, here is a small clip. The truck was in Miami parked for over a year, I got her and it's been year more since she has moved, the clutch fork I replaced. Thanx!

Congratulations!
It seems to have some resistance to moving, was the e-brake on?

I don't think so, but it sounds like it's geared so low. Could be:
- that the brakes are dragging (sitting 2 years)
- I can't seem to get it into HIGH (lo/hi switch) so it sounds like it is winding
- the rear end is having difficulty.

I'm not sure right now though. Any insight is much appreciated. Thanx.

That truck looks to be in good shape, once you get it in good mechanical condition it's going to be a blast around here in Atlanta. Put it in neutral and see if it wants to roll on its own or if it still seems tight?

The shifting of the two-speed axle requires a fair amount of vacuum for several seconds (assuming it's a vacuum shift with a **** on the dash). You want to make sure that all your vacuum connections are good and tight. There should be a placard on the dash with instructions.
Hey, great videos, and keep up the good work.
