i have a 1990 F-250 4x4 truck for sale. its time to thin the herd. i have to many vehicles and this one needs to go. it runs and drives fine. it is a mud truck so there are many little things that, if i was to keep it, would need fixing.
its got an auto trans and 5.8l V8.
the transmission doesn't shift. mechanically its fine. it has to do with the electronics that tell it when to shift. it could just be a bad spot in the harness. i just don't have the motivation to look into it. if you put it into 2nd, you can reach 55 mph, so its drive able as is.
it needs the harmonic balancer installed. its in the box on the front seat.
i just had $780 worth of work done. it includes master cylinder, rear brakes and rear axle seals replaced.
i have also recently replaced the power steering pump.
it has the usual steering column issue where you start the truck by pushing the ignition rod manually.
again this is a mud truck, so its not pretty. but the drive train and wheels and tires are in good shape.
i am asking $2000. i am fairly firm on price as i have at least that much into it. i will entertain reasonable offers though. it has a clean Florida title. really would like to see it go to someone that will either restore it or at least drive it more than me. i don't need to get rid of it, i just don't have the time for it. i need to focus on my '76 so this one is being sacrificed.
