Transmission Issue

Hey there everyone, ran into an issue on my rebuild. I have a 1978 F-150 Ranger 302 V8 2WD Automatic. ( just to makes things easier ) back to the point. I had the reverse go out completely on the tranny, and have not had any luck what so ever finding another I could buy. Does anyone know of any good places to find a tranny cheap or have any materials that explain step by step process for rebuilding the tranny myself?

All help is greatly appreciated!

Taylor

You're looking for a A/T .. but are you aware that there are two possible types?

1978/79 F100/150 302 could have a C4 (11 trans pan bolt holes) or C6 (17 trans pan bolt holes).

Ken Collins has an excellent step by step video for either C4 or C6.
