Truck Colors

Yesterday I was passed by a 2016 SD Dually Diesel Platinum, in Pearl White. ALL Pearl White.. but no bottom dark color...

is this common? for this color.

or does Ford not offer a bottom color.. 8 inches or so..

my last Dodge was Work White and 8 inches of dark gray at bottom, bumper to bumper
.

It depends on whether you order it with the "lower accent two tone" paint scheme. The 2016 order guide shows that the Platinum model does not come with lower accent two tone scheme.

its a shame... the Pearl White is Beautiful ,, but it needs something...

If it was mine .. I would take it to a paint shop.. IT needs a dark bottom...
it just looks incomplete

my opinion

THANK YOU... for your help.

It's funny, as the trim level goes up, you trade in hard chrome for soft paint. I don't really get it, myself.
Lots of people really like the monochromatic look. For the most part I don't really care for it, though I have seen some good looking monochromatic vehicles.

I think my new one would look kind of drab if it was just all silver and did not have the lower Magnetic accent paint. I think that lower accent looks good in whatever color Super Duty you have.

white, silver, light blue, light green. etc.. needs a dark bottom

Black is great.. then Dark Blue, just can not and will not keep it clean. (WORK)

The only reason I bought a Platinum over a regular Lariat was to get away from all the chrome - the bumpers in particular. I wanted painted to match bumpers.

I wasn't crazy about the tailgate piece on the Platinums. It looked decent on the silver trucks though since it blended in better.

I do find it odd how they delete the chrome bumpers and grill, but add chrome mirror caps and side steps??

This is my first silver vehicle. All my others have been either blue, red , or black.

There is a certain logic to a metal colored truck called Platinum.
